Many professionally designed FileMaker solutions created in earlier versions of the .fp7 format utilize the Status Area only in Preview Mode of Reports in order to allow users to navigate through pages and continue to printing to either paper or PDF. When these solutions are moved to FileMaker® Pro 10, the ability of users to customize the status area can lead to unexpected and undesired results and potentially to incorrect report results. A new mini White Paper offers one solution to that issue. That paper can be downloaded here.

Hello Steven,
It was interesting that you did not suggest the Page Up and Page Down keys for Preview navigation. is that because they are not supported or that those keystrokes cannot be captured? They seem to be the intuitive choices

I see no reason why you couldn't use them, if you so prefer. The codes are 2 and 3, respectively (at least on a Mac they are).

Certainly can be used, and several people has suggested that. I believe their codes are 29 and 31, but I cannot check that right now.
